The Ju88 was the most versatile German fighter aircraft of WWII. Serial production started in 1939 with the Ju 88A-1. From the beginning of August 1940, attacks on the British mainland increased. On August 15, English tactics changed and the Luftwaffe's successes diminished until September 15, when the tide finally turned.
