1/20 Nordlandsbaaden Wooden Ship Model

Nordlandsbaaden (Nordlandsbaden) is a typical fishing boat built in Norway in the 17th and 18th centuries. At first glance, it does not deny its origins in Viking ships. Like them, he had excellent nautical qualities and was able to safely take the crew to the harsh North, Norwegian, or Barents Sea, resist storms and return safely to the home fjord. Ships of this kind were used long after the time of their greatest glory - the last nail in the coffin for them was the advent of motor boats in the early 20th century.

But the Norwegians do not forget their traditions, and ships of this style are still being built today - today they are sports boats that participate in regattas along the entire long coast of Norway - from the Oslofjord in the south to the North Cape behind the polar circle.

Nordlandsbaaden has a fuselage of a classic wooden construction made of laser-carved parts with a planked plating and a canopy at the rear. The kit contains all the wooden, plastic and metal parts needed to complete the model, scale accessories, sail, etc.
